Hi Folks, New members from Vermont.
My wife and I have been to 4 IDPA matches this summer, and are having a great time. Very helpful people and good defensive pistol practice, which is why we joined IDPA and make those 5 hr round trip drives.
We also participated in a USPSA match this summer at a much closer distance, but we prefer IDPA since it is (in my opinion) closer to real world self defence scenarios.
I do have some questions on scoring that I can't find the answer to in the rule book and would appreciate some help.
1. In Vickers, requiring 2 shots to the threat, one shot misses and the other is in the "down 3", do you incur both a miss (-5) and a FTN (-5) = 3+5+5= (-13) x .5 = +6.5 seconds?
2. And, if both shots miss, do you occur both a -10 AND a FTN (-5) which by my math = (-15) or +7.5 seconds?
Thanks for the help and clarification,
John
