One guy that wasn't even trying to get into the Nats was stirring the pot for some reason. Not one person responding was willing to give HQ the benefit of the doubt. Not one person called HQ to find out. Odd. Ken Reed

Isn't that how any successful businesses operates? New programs don't always work as intended the first time they're tried, but successful people have learned to keep the "good' ...remove the 'bad'... and refine the system into something that is effective in satisfying their customers.

We have a couple of local forums that are well read though, but they are not like this forum. I've shot and worked matches in Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Washington, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Florida and soon to be North Carolina. Thank goodness matches are not like this forum. There doesn't seem to be the accusing, demanding, or TWI like on forums. I don't know whether people are happier at the range, or not bold in person. Either way, I am very glad.Ken Reed

People spent money and time off work or away from home to get points to get into Nationals but even with enough points they are not in. That is a problem, IDPA HQ has stated it is a problem and mistakes were made. Here is a post made in June..........ave8er wrote:It was mailed on 6/1. Not one person called HQ to find out. Odd. Ken Reed --Do all shooters in match have required minimum points? Not mine --Big mystery - who knows?!?!? Also not mine --I did not get in to the nationals and I have 9 points. I have friends who got in with 3, 7 and 8 points. Mine and its a damn good question --How can someone get in with 3 or 4 points and someone with 9 not goes with the above. --Personally I would like to understand how anyone with 3 points made it, when I have 4 points. Well, I do want to understand... --The secrecy of information not being released leads me to believe points are not determining factor for entry Kind of what I said and it seems I was correct there was the unpublished cut off after all... --but I am not polite in real life, why do I need to be polite here Me again and I still think that. I am who I am love of or to hell with you --If the announced system didn't work as intended... or didn't work at all... maybe it should be fixed and clarified. Exactly!!! --I like the idea of actually using whatever system the choose. What a concept... It would have worked except for the missing link! --I suspect there is no way you are correct on this..... direct response to you for the comment you made that made it sound like you had some secret informationWhat was your problem with all of this?

HQ keeps track of anyone that has posted trash about them all year on any of the forums, was rude or that sent argumentative emails to HQ. HQ has unlimited time to read all the dozens of places on the internet that talk about IDPA and have almost 20 people assigned full time to this task alone. Each post from every forum is transferred to a huge server farm underground of Wilson Combat. Hundreds of high performance computer servers running Linux/Apache with dozens of RAID disks each. There are so many computers down there, that they had to move the Roswell bodies to another facility. Then those posts are automatically mined for negativity among other things. And if someone posted anything slightly negative in the last 365 days, out they go. It never was points, that was just a clever cover story, and most people bought it, two years in a row. Even the apology was faked.
