This whole entry process should be transparent where all applicants know exactly where they stand with regards to entry into national championship. Transparency takes away all concerns of fairness! The secrecy of information not being released leads me to believe points are not determining factor for entry, why won't H.Q. make statement giving everyone explanation of how entrants were selected? How can someone get in with 3 or 4 points and someone with 9 not, when entered before deadline? I am asking for an explanation from HQ....These are important question that need to be addressed...Please put weather and other off subject comments on appropriate thread.Robert WalkerA29122

What thread are those in?Chilll a bit, Mr. Walker. Things pertaining to the Nationals are being discussed in various threads. And sometimes that 'noise' may become music to you if you needed it.It is easy to see that the topic of this discussion thread is the posted rule of eligibility for Nationals versus how participants were actually selected. Don't you think it is proper forum etiquette to stay on the discussion topic or start another thread on the topic of your choice, be it weather or logistics?Doyle

The list owner at great person expense of money and time, and a few loyal contributors have kept this forum running since 2003 and many of the regulars have been here a long time too. Y'all are quests here, newby guests that are leaving a lasting impression. Life will probably be easier for you if you limit the lecturing of the regulars and especially the lecturing of the contributors. Yeah, I know you have no idea what I am talking about, which is part of my point. Threads like these always have way more speculation and indignation than anything else. You want speculation? Maybe the people with lesser points actually filled in the application correctly and had verifiable points. You would not believe the stories I have heard about membership and Nationals entry forms. Or maybe there is some other logical reason, not related to a super secret IDPA Nationals conspiracy. Last year there were several tens of thousands of hostile words written about the process, and guess what, it all worked very well. I also note that no one apologized for their slanderous posts however. If you want to get your indignation to the right people, you can always call HQ. Ken Reed

And lastly... "Translation, if you want to be a rude person in real life, that is your prerogative but it is not an option here.

Each section will be given a certain number of slots based on the number of clubs and the activity of those clubs. The slots can be distubuted by the Area Coordinator or local MD's based on shooter performance or whomever donated the most time to our sport. Each section will hold a championship and award a slot to the DC winners. Each area will then hold a championship and award slots to each DC and class champion (for every 30 competitiors in the class). Everyone else can get on a wait list or use the first come first serve method as before.
