I fired 100 rounds with my new 625JM today and learned it is a fine revolver, much deserving of me improving my ability with a revolver. It functioned flawlessly and the factory JM grips seemed to fit my hands very well. The two areas I want to change right away are the practically unusable (for me) gold bead front sight and the sharp edged trigger. I'm thinking of a fiber optic front (which I have on my SSR) and to buff the sharp edges of the trigger. I'm also going to shoot this revolver for USPSA and have a local match next Saturday so I'm going to try to get the fiber optic sight in and to buff out the trigger before then.
If anyone has a preference for a fiber optic front sight for the JM Id appreciate your input.. Also, how far do you buff/smooth the trigger? What do you use to smooth it out? Are all the serrations in the trigger removed or just the inner and outer edges of the trigger broken? My finger is sore (no blister) all across the contact area, but especially at the bottom of the finger.
