Posts: 14 (07/28/09 22:52:48) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Tags : None I have read all the posts concerning holsters and am looking for one for IDPA that is a little faster and straighter cant than my Galco. Am looking at the Comp-tac lockable paddle or belt holster. One question I have that when I look at the picture of the belt holster on their website it seems there is a lot of space for the belt. www.comp-tac.com/product_info.php?products_id=66 I'm not talking about the width of the belt (you specify your width) but the amount of daylight through the belt loop makes it seem it wouldn't fit tight to the belt. Can any users comment on this as well as the preference between the lockable paddle and belt holster. I also plan to wear this holster for CC at times. I do have their IWB and like it a lot. Lyn

As far as I know even Gordon Carrell uses compTac in competition and if it's good for him .... If I don't recall wrong the Comp Tac site clearly states which one is IDPA legal or not. All of them are straight drop which I prefer for sporting events (I almost said gaming). On the belt holster, I think they make them as described to allow for thick leather belts. When using a web material belt there is space left over. While I haven't been to the Nationals, it has never been mentioned at several state matches. Paddle v. belt. Preference I guess. I like the belt version. Howard

If you are using a model from them that "may" allow light to pass in the belt area let them know that it is for IDPA when you order and they will modify it. Greg

If you go with the paddle just tell them when you order that it will be for IDPA use and they will close it off enough so that you will be certain to be in compliance. You won't find a finer group or better customer service anywhere plus their delivery times are great. They also support IDPA matches as well so they are a good vendor to give our business to.
