wow...just when i thought i seen stupidity in its purest form...someone tops it. i had the "pleasure" of meeting a guy that was a former blackwater
employee, and let me say i will be happy if they arent ever associated with IDPA...my two cents.

Is this the state match in Idaho that this took place at?

He promotes firing guns near live people during training, so you'll be able/willing to do it in the real world.

Watched that video and saw a variation of the Agent in a class full of kids.
Well, this is one Internet Commando that will never give this guy the time of day. There are so many better options. I am,,, RICK |

Yeager is obviously a logician of the highest order. By his logic, the closer we place someone to harm, the safer we make people. Instead of using a 180° rule,
we should use a 30° rule, or perhaps a 5° rule, or a 0.5° rule, allowing people to stand infinitely close to bullet impact point.
Wrong answer dude. Greater risk is greater risk. Sometimes greater risk is warranted, sometimes it is not. It is a judgement call. Placing a camera man out in front of a long line of shooters looks an awful lot like unwarranted risk and reckless endangerment to me. But what do I know, that's just my opinon. Got to agree with Radome here. So many good training options. Why waste time with this bozo? Koski |

You can train "for the real thing" without creating unsafe situations, and don't let any mall ninja wanna-be who has never done anything more
noteworthy than getting people to buy his DVDs tell you otherwise.

Well, I'm late getting in on these threads both here and on my local IDPA forum. The thread's been pulled from youTube. Can someone give a brief
description of what I missed and why it's causing such a furor? I'm getting the idea that it has something to do with someone being downrange while
another someone shoots in their direction. Yes? And this was in a "training class" and not at an IDPA match? Thanks.

A cameraman was placed kneeling between two targets on a line of shooters that was spaced roughly a yard apart, while they all did multiple shots from the
holster. There wasn't much room for error, and the shooters didn't look like they were of the "error free" variety.

By the way, that wasn't just a cameraman. It was Jay Gibson, one of the TR instructors. He has shown up in at least one of these threads on a related
forum to defend the practice.

That's good, because mere cameramen aren't bullet proof. Glad it was someone tactical.

YO! Now I understand all the traffic about this. Thanks for the info. I was assuming that it was NOT a IDPA match and am not surprised to find out that it
wasn't. But if somebody DID put a round through the cameraman, would it have been just a 5 second penalty for hit on a non-threat?!? Which segues very
nicely into the thread I'm about to post.....

Hi, there, fellas,
Saw where folks are having problems seeing the video. Got a lot of chatter on the Indiana forum (believe it or not, some were passionately defending it). Thought I'd share with you a link to that thread where you can actually still see the video and the rebuttal video. Absolutely stunned me completely. http://ingunowners.com/forums/tactics_and_training/40067-the_pink_elephant_t_r_video.html Enjoy the read. Leigh Ann J |

yeah...nothing better than mocking safety!!! hey kids its fine to look down the barrel of a gun....if "unload and show clear" is being treated like a
child, then get me my pacifier! im sure those unloaded guns hurt like hell when they blow a hole in you.

Old business plan for second raters. If you're offering the same thing as everyone else, and you're not the best at it, convince everyone that
you're somehow different. Invent a new process/technique/ect and a invent a reason everyone should come to you to learn it/ buy it. There are enough people
out there easily separated from their money that will patronize you.

"At the end one guy does a Charlie's Angels pose with his gun next to his face and turns back and forth"
Yeah, that would be scanning for more threats, you know, like anywhere they might be, I dunno like maybe behind you. I know they might just be thugs and haven't figured out that a sucker punch wins every time, but maybe, just maybe they saw a movie where it worked. The pointing up, well, if your kids are with you, you may not want to point down. I suppose that breaks this 180 rule that doesn't exist in IDPA. Where did you find that anyway? I checked the 4 laws of safe gun handling, I didn't find it. I even used the "edit" tab and the "find " option. Garry
