thoughts on "no trespassing" signs |

would like some opinions...if you were going to put no trespassing signs on your property would you simply use the basic signs or something a little more
drastic, like the no trespassing signs that have some clever gun saying on them???
or anyone got pics of ones on their property???? Glenn G |

Mine say "No Trespassing and No Hunting". But they still don't work for some people. I guess city folk think the country is public land, even
if it is posted.

I would not put up snarky cutesy signs like "Trespassers will be shot, survivors will be prosecuted."
You should check state law provisions, but a "Posted" sign carries more weight than "No Trespassing" around here. |

thanks guys....
i actually live in town, but we have had a lot of problems with kids using our property as a "cut through" to the neighborhood below us. i've repeatedly caught them and asked them not to come on our property but basically to no avail...basically just want something to show that i am serious about it...kids on the loose during the summer can often mean stuff comes up missing or messed with...i was a kid once and i know its prob no big deal, but i think we all know that kids these days arent quite the same as they once were. and there will def be a no soliciting sign going up also...church attendance must be down cause every time we turn around there is another religious group at the door... thanks again for the input!!! I once saw a sign that said "Trespassers will be violated", that might get the point across.
I'm inclined to believe that whatever you put up, you won't be able to keep someone who doesn't care off the property unless you're able to confront them while they're trespassing..

I think there was a recent story in the news about a landowner in PA confronting hunters on his land, a gunfight started, and he ended up dead (or just
injured, I don't recall).
