Greetings,

We will be hosting the 2009 Indiana IDPA State Championship on October 31st, 2009 at the scenic Atlanta Conservation Club centrally located in rural Indiana approximately 30 minutes north of Indianapolis. We had our first IDPA major at ACC last year and we had so much fun and it was such a great success we decided to do it again. We are going to have 18-20 COF's based upon defensive pistol scenarios with round counts ranging from 1 to 12 maximum per COF. The round count for the match will allow plenty of trigger time and will likely be around 160. Our basic match fee is a very reasonable $55. We will offer a quality lunch, refreshments and a match hat as options at a fair price. In these tough economic times, we want to give shooters good value for their match fees and not require them to buy a t-shirt they don't need, or break the bank buying tons of ammo to shoot one 18 round field course after another like we see at so many major matches. At ACC, we believe IDPA is about defensive pistol shooting and stands on it's own merits without trying to mirror other shooting disciplines. Based upon the comments we had from participants last year, we had a great match. We made a few minor mistakes and they absolutely will not be repeated again this year. I sent out the match announcement to our shooters from last year just a few weeks ago. Based upon the response I have had so far, I anticipate we will fill this match early. If you are interested in shooting the match, the application can be found at www.atlantacc.net under Events or email me and I'll send you a copy. There is a link to the application from the IDPA website as well. I can always use some experienced SO's so contact me directly if you want a staff application. Late October in Indiana is usually a warm, colorful, glorious time of year and I hope you can join us.

Keep shootin,

Jeff Brown, Match Director and Indiana IDPA Area Coordinator
