Only if male purse or "murse" holsters are part of the deal.

I will add my .02.
First I'd like to see bull barrels allowed in 5'' 1911, since tactical rails are now allowed. I see it as the same difference, both add weight to the front of the pistol. Second is the allowing of dual spring recoil systems. They are a production item used by several pistol makers. They are well over the 2000 units produced and sold. Third I would change the rule on wheelguns with +6 capacity, 7-8 whatever. Loaded to max capacity as long as it doesn't exceed 10 rounds. Down loading an 7 or 8 round wheelgun to 6 rounds is counter to loading to full capacity. I understand about trying to control the equipment race but this is counter productive. What ever happened to use what you have and what you everyday carry. Forth Get rid of the classifing once a year. Let the bump be from match wins. I'm more concerned about people sand bagging classifiers than sand bagging matches. I have seen this more than I care to. Fifth Classification needs to be per division AND barrel length. IE I shoot SS in CDP with my 5" 1911 but only shoot MM with my Champion. As far as plastic guns in CDP no problem as long as they are single action and they down load to division capacity. I would also like to know when the new rule book is coming out. Thought I remembered it was suppose to be reviewed and reissued every four years, which means it's due and it really is needed. Thanks for listening and bearing with my pet peeves. Guy A06282 |

Well, as long as we are kicking this one around again, my comments on your comments are...
1. Bull barrels ok. Rails ok. Long dustcovers ok, too. But you still have to make weight and if you keep adding iron to hold your "features" you will be out of luck. 2. Funny springs ok. As said standard in several factory guns. 3. No. Sixshooters are basic and allowing bigger cylinders would obsolete all of them, killing what is already the smallest segment of the sport. I'd let the 7 and 8 shooters compete with the autos of comparable power factor, but that is as far as I am willing to go. 4. I would write a shorter classifier and require it be included in every sanctioned match. Three stages of standards out of a dozen or more in a state or regional match would not be excessive and it would keep shooters up to date. 5. No. The system is chopped up too much as it is. Present policy of no more than one step difference in classification from Division to Division is good. |

Oh, dear, that's the Other Guys, isn't it.
IDPA just says that if you are unclassified in one divsion, you can enter your highest classification from another, but only in club level matches. My bad. But we OUGHT to do it that way. And if you want to horrify the membership, just suggest what the NRA does. Unclassified = Master. |

I'd like to see 5" bull barrels allowed, since they allow tac-rails. Might as well. Keep CDP 45 acp only. If STI would change the name of the Recoil
Master to something like dual spring recoil system it would be legal. My S/A Champion Loaded had a dual spring recoil system and it is legal. so I'm told.
