I am toying with the idea of a stage for next years Tri State. In the middle of the stage is a pressure pad that will activate a Max Trap. The Max trap is a
NT. The NT will disapear briefly (couple seconds), reveal a popper that will activte a swinger. The shooter has time for one well placed shot at the popper .
If missed, it is a total of 15 down (popper and swinger). It will not be a FTN since one has disappeared, and one has never appeared. It is tempting if the
popper is missed, to shoot through the NT in an effort to save 2 1/2 seconds. This brings up the question, should there be a PE for not firing the required
number of shots? I have run this sequence in a couple different stages in my local matches and it has been missed by Masters, and made by a Novices. I love
the concept of "must make" shots in competition, and this certainly has that. By adding the PE, does that make the penalty to severe?
