Howdy all!! I just found out about IDPA about 3 weeks ago or so and it really peaked my interest. I used to do Cowboy Action shooting. However, i did this with
my now ex girlfriend, so i would love to keep shooting but i'd rather completley have nothing to do with her considering i'd still have to shoot with
her all the time had i continued. This lead me to find another action shooting sport. I'd love to find one with a defensive practical aplication in
mind...low and behold.......i arrive to find the IDPA! Seems like a great orginization with a lot of rules in common with CAS that i'm used to. Just a
different type of guns. (Double action hand guns) CAS we used Single action revolvers, lever action rifles, and Shotguns. Soooo.. This leads me to need to
pickup some new hardware and get familar with a new type of firearm. I'm all for it! i shot a few Double action handguns in the past but never got
extremley familiar with them. I shot a walther p99 and a 1911 and they seemed great, although the walther had more FTF's then i care to ever remember. the
1911 worked flawlessly. lol. Granted it was a slicked up, match ready 1911.
So i've done a little research and i'm trying to decide between a 4" springfield 1911, a Springfield XD .40 in 4" or a Taurus, 24/7 Pro.
Also i'm definitley looking at shooting over in bridgewater since its the closestest (an hour south) for me. since i live in north west jersey. So if anyone from there is on here....HELLOO!! nice to meet ya.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi, and get to learn as much as possible as i can on here. I read all the rulebooks and new shooters guides already as well, great stuff!!
