The 2008 IDPA Postal Match is in the works! The COF is set (hermetically sealed for your protection) and the scoring issues are being worked out in a super
secret west coast location (no not the west coast of NJ, THE west coast). HQ should have some info in the TJ. Stay tuned.

Oh no Pete, to the contrary. They have been set-up and dry run, pictures have been taken, and are in a briefcase hancuffed to Ken's wrist.

Bob, this should help with your set up, 1 foot = .3048 meters, 1 inch = 2.54 centimeters, but I don't know the current exchange rate for points down.

Well, I got to shoot the 2008 Postal Match and I must admit, the stages were more fun than last years. Lenny and Ken @ PPC held a great match and never told us it was postal until after we shot it. I wonder where I will land this year. I will probably see it 2 more times at clubs I shoot so I will try different divisions. There was not much that required tweaking after setup that I noticed. Good stage designs that were well designed and quite challenging. Some procedurals were handed down so pay close attention to the stage descriptions. Some down fives were also present on some targets. Hope you call get an opportunity to host and shoot the postal match at your clubs. I think you will have as good a time as we did Saturday... Rich |

I'm looking forward to shooting it again this year. I never did get an award for winning SSR last year though. Perhaps the awards could be emailed or snail mailed to the winners this time? Jerry B. |

Hey guys - is it safe to say that a club can advertise the Postal Match for the first weekend of July? If I remember correctly, we missed it last year by
three days cutoff and don't want that to happen again...
Thanks!

Quick Question: Myself and 4 of my friends all work at a pistol range with the capability of shooting IDPA stages, but we're not an official club. Can we
shoot the match at work, or do we need to find an official club hosting one?

I think we ran the postal match stages last year at BRCV in June and will probably do the same this year.

Subject to the wishes of our head rangemaster, West Shore Sportsmen's in Lewisberry will be shooting the Postal Match as part of our July match - first
Sunday of the month. I'll confirm this as soon as I can!
