Ross,
What are your thoughts on Lubes for 1911s and autos in general?
I have used so many I dont even remember them.
I have listened to people argue about the pros and cons of auto lubes for guns.
I have listened to Grease Vs Oil
(side note- The ONLY time I have ever experienced a lube induced (too much) malf was shooting a Les Baer 38 Super that I borrowed from a friend. It was Dec Jan or Feb and kinda cold he had Slide Glide on it and it wouldnt cycle the slide with 125 + PF loads and a 12# spring IIRC. I dont use Grease in the cold weather but I do in the summer "Sometimes" "
I have listened to light vs heavy oil etc!
I use a concoction of auto oils most of the time or whatever is available if I need to borrow some.
No complaints about any of them from me but I try to shy away from really light oils like Rem Oil unless there is a reason for it.
Whats your thoughts?
Larry P
