Well my left shoulder is currently messed up enough that I can't lift my arm into shooting position. Not wanting to miss out on some trigger time and a general good time I decided to shoot a match anyway just strong hand only. I can still safely load, reload, unload and maniplulate the pistol just down a little lower than normal so safety wasn't an issue.
I was pleasantly surprised that over a 100 round match I was only about 20 - 25 seconds off the pace that my regular competitors were at.
It was a good experience and I will continue to shoot strong hand only until the shoulder is back in shape. Anyone else shoot while injured just to keep the skills up? If anything I think it would help your overall shooting skills development.
