Greetings,
We have all probably shot stages where the no-shoot target(s) moved from one shooter to the next. Some SOs move the no shoot indicator(s) while the shooter stands facing up range. Some COFs require one to pick a playing card, or a colored object out of a hat, etc., and that color indicates the target that is the no-shoot.
Here is an idea used at our last indoor match that I thought was pretty clever, and amazingly simple.
The SO simply announces the color of shirt that the no-shoot target has on, at the buzzer. Our particular stage had three targets, one with a white shirt, one with a brown shirt and one with a black shirt. The SO announces "WHITE" for one string and "BLACK" for another, mixing them up. There is no extra time used to move a no-shoot indicator, no memory test, and no fumbling with cards or colored blocks.
Enjoy !
