I can agree with your take on this as well....the reason for the discussion.

Revolver shooters don't have an advantage to take the PE and points because even a novice Rev. Shooter can reload and generally make the hit in under the 5.5 second so it would always be to the shooters advantage to do the reload.

Still....in this case....the revolver shooter did the mandatory reload (between shot 6 and shot 7) but because of gun issues.....does the rulebook mandate an additional reload or FTDR? He put the required rounds into the gun. Putting it another way....If this was a bottom feeder and the shooter put the mag into the gun...had 8-10 rounds that were duds...would he/she be required to try and eject each of them and if all were bad still put another mag into the gun or get a FTDR...don't think so.

JMO but still interesting discussion. Hope the TT with the new rulebook has a clarification of what and when elements of the rulebook apply. I can see both sides and do see both sides but still feel this is worthy of kicking around without pointing fingers.
