Howdy,
Below is a quick summary of the comments that were made in this thread. When someone doesn't get their way it must be a conspiracy. One guy that wasn't even trying to get into the Nats was stirring the pot for some reason.

Not one person responding was willing to give HQ the benefit of the doubt. Not one person called HQ to find out. Odd.

One f the people that was impacted by the way it was handled did call.  For some reason you are unwilling to see how badly this system was handled.  People spent money and time off work or away from home to get points to get into Nationals but even with enough points they are not in.  That is a problem, IDPA HQ has stated it is a problem and mistakes were made.

Here is a post made in June..........

It was mailed on 6/1. (I am a twice a month guy and I had to wait) I don't know when they received it.

I spoke with a girl on the phone today about my status on the waiting list. She said I was in the middle, (same thing I probably would have said) I said so everyone above me has more points and she said no...  She also said there were a lot of un-happy customers... I am going to give it a week and if I don't get in by next week I will have them shred my check and move on. I am not good at waiting at all... I have the patience of Jobe's brother Nunatall

Sorry for the thread drift but this is about points ;-)

Thanks Strick!

Ken, a lot of ASSuming on your part. I know you love HQ and all things IDPA. Good for you.

I did ask how it worked. I asked several times during my phone calls. I called more than once. The person I spoke with didn't know for sure how it worked and whoever she was asking was a jerk about it. I got the impression I didn't have a right to ask.  I even asked if there was a deadline and if it was published somewhere, she said there was a "first pass". I was wondering if my application got lost in the mail or something. I asked if they got my application at all which the obviously did. HQ does not deserve the benefit of the doubt. This whole ordeal was BS!  I have already stated that I didn't get to shoot a match that I really wanted to shoot because it was after the points cut off and wanting to make sure I got in I chose the match that would earn me points. Maybe I am the only guy that feels wronged in this. It is what it is and there is nothing I can do about it now. Explain how I could be in the middle of the waiting list with 9 points was it sorted by date? WTF... I spent a lot of money with a single goal in mind and I got robbed.... So KEN I will give you 10,000 dollars if you respond to this post between .......and ..... if it is on....    Yeah, really fair right??  You dont have all of the information you need for this do you. Just like nationals. Further, I don't believe that my application did not make it in time for the unpublished cutoff. Also, had I known you could fax the application in and have them call you for CC info I would have done that. There is so much wrong with the way this whole thing was handled! The fix for me is not to spend my money shooting sanctioned matches one of the by product of my decision is I am starting to enjoy USPSA

These forums are the way they are because you try and control how people are. It really isn't much fun that way. Let the crotchy old guys be themselves. let the spirited young guys and girls be just that. These forums are very defensive and clickish. If I wasn't such an a$$ I would have quit coming here. With all of the members IDPA has who are hungry for information this place should have 3,000 new posts a day!

I do enjoy IDPA and I hate that I feel as though I got screwed over.
