I wonder why some people even shoot IDPA, they have never had a kind word to say about it.... ever.

That problem seems to be far more present here on this forum than on the range. I go to a lot of matches all over the southeast, yes I do hear griping (more and more lately in our environment of uncertainty), but none of it can hold a candle to the negative BS on this forum.  I don't suggest new shooters come to this forum because it makes us all look like a bunch of a-holes. As many matches as I go to, I can count on two hands the number of participants here who are truly a part of the sport. Ever wonder why that is? Because questions are met with smart remarks, complaints are met with a rudeness that can only be delivered from behind a keyboard. I don't care how low your IDPA number is, or how many posts you have here, and neither does anyone else. Put your name on some score sheets or STFU. If you love the sport so much, try being a good steward of it. You're an SO and MD? So what, so is everyone else here. Try being courteous, helpful and empathetic. If all new shooters read this forum prior to coming to their first match, we'd be screwed because only idiots would show up. I keep coming back here hoping it turns a corner, but it never does. Why?
