Dave,
Agreed. It is not all that productive, but it is fair to ask politely. It is not fair to assume a conspiracy and get huffy. I believe HQ posted a clarification as soon as they realized the mistake. They gain nothing by waiting. They are very good people, that strangely enough only want the best for IDPA and all of its shooters. Go figure. And some of the crap that is posted about them makes me mad.

And maybe if someone had called instead of posting crap on the internet the mistake would have been found much earlier. Calling HQ was suggested in this thread early on.

One thing that seems unclear to some is that HQ does not read this forum on a regular basis, even though they have said that openly in this forum. That is not what official means. There are about 1400 posts per month. Reading their own email is daunting enough.

I think you have hit on an important point, when you used the word "expect."  Some people come here and "expect" things work exactly the way they want them to.  When things do not work that way the rhetoric escalates.  To me, and I'm an old fart, it seems like they should look around and "see" how things work, and then work from that knowledge.  Put another way, maybe from Saturday Night Live, "Expectations are a b1tch."

I have dozens of questions a year. I suppose I could write self important, accusing, scathing posts here for each one because someone didn't deliver me the answer as soon as I needed it, and get all pissed off that nothing is happening. But I call. Works every time. Well it didn't work one time.... I accidentally called their fax machine
