Rocco, you are going to get some grief for not signing your post!

I am trying to keep a positive attitude about this as well but I am pretty disappointed. I shot a lot of high $$ matches. I had a lot of fun doing it and I met some great people. My quest to shoot all the sanctioned matches that I shot was two fold, I wanted to get points for the "national championship" and I wanted to get the experience from other venues and clubs. I did pretty well and had fun, so I got my moneys worth! Getting to shoot the nationals would have been the icing on the cake.

I will probably only shoot 1 sanctioned IDPA match in the coming year, the Georgia state match. I am going to shift my major match money (I am on a limited shooting budget) over to shooting large USPSA matches. I like shooting IDPA and I have several clubs in my area that offer matches so I am sure that I will continue to shoot on a local level but I will probably skip most of the sanctioned matches. Kind of sad, because I suck at shooting the classifier and seem to only move up by getting match bumps. So I guess I will be CDP SS, ESP EX and SSP SS forever...

I hope the tiger teams steer IDPA in the right direction.
