HQ is doing the best they can with the resources they have. This is a learning process for them and us.

I did not get in to the nationals and I have 9 points. I have friends who got in with 3, 7 and 8 points.

In my somewhat non-humble opinion if they were going to use points to pick a majority of the shooters there should have been a specific amount of time that they accepted applications. This time period should have been announced up front. Then when the window closed applications would have been sorted by points and shooters picked. If the match was not full, like the world match where they had to beg for shooters, then they could just accept applications like they did for the world shoot.

An alternative would be, use the match sign up website, open up the match and anyone who wants to shoot signs up as soon as they can until the match is full. No points to worry about.
