It seems that if ya buy a $1000 625 revolver from S&W ya gotta still keep spending money to make it work right. If one of the IDPA Principles is to allow shooters to compete with common defensive firearms that don't cost an arm and a leg... I have to wonder why ESR is still around? I have yet to see a 625 that would be considered 'match ready' (or even acceptably accurate with match loads) out of the box, but that seems to be the only real game in ESR... yet I doubt if anyone actually carrys one in the Real World. Unfortunately, the 625 is pretty much what you have to have in ESR.

No wonder so many shooters like plastic bottom feeders... they don't cost a lot, and they don't need anything serious done to them to make them competitive.
