Working a match takes a lot of focus away from those individuals who also want to compete. And they put in a lot of hours.

To compound that, this match is in a location where there is no local club infrastructure which is something we had to work hard to overcome. Other than our hosts at the range, everyone who participated in the event as a staff member had to drive from out of town or even fly in.

For us to say we want to encourage volunteers was an understatement and we had to overcome being a little short handed by drafting competitors we knew to be SO's.

To say thanks for everyone who helped in 127 degree heat index was like wispering at a championship football game.

Heck, I feel bad not being able to do more for the SO's who weren't on a team. 2 points was the easiest part.

The use of points is an interesting trend in IDPA almost like Frequent Flier miles so it is hard to predict how all this will evolve.
