It actually does make a big difference if the wrong times are entered for the wrong stages..... the problem arizes when a competitor challenges a stage time. What happens is that we only issue 1 bar code and that goes on the master copy. If the scores sheets have been designed to be stage specific it is not some much of a problem but if the score sheets are more generic in format it can be very dificult to determine correctness.  Here is an example...2 stages have 7 targets each......the score sheets get mixed. An incorrect time is entered but we can't really be sure for which stage so we have to spend extra time to track down the shooter and maybe a stage SO or scorekeeper to sort it out. At most major matches that time is not really available to the scoring crew as they are trying very hard to get the scores CORRECT and posted as quick as possible. Long winded but everyone needs to understand that at a major match the scoring crew NEVER makes any judgement calls. If something is in question we have to contact the MD and he then has to go track down the answer. 2 or 3 of those and he or she can, and i quaranty WILL, get a little grumpy pretty fast.
