Scores are up on the web site. We have a pile of high def photography from the match to make available within the next 24-48 hours.

About the scoring labels, a part of me wants to say the heat index played a role in the way sheets came in. Regardless of the reason, we were very mindful of the shooters because we want the event to grow into a popular event in IDPA. Jane offered a great incentive. I know competitors are engrossed in the stages coming up and people are going to make mistakes.

We wanted to accommodate new shooters and accomplished shooters alike. We had both.

We are indebted to the people that volunteered their time and services to help run the match. They endured the heat and helped us get everyone through the stages. That said, we were thin. And this may have also been a factor for our first match. The Pro Shop at the range was not part of our staff, they were our hosts. The match was created to bring additional sanctioned matches to the area and we are receiving a lot of support from the facility to continue to grow IDPA there. But aside of that support, everyone who worked the match came from other areas in the state or for that matter outside of the state.

We enjoyed support from Michigan, Alabama, both Carolina's, and Kentucky. All volunteers who represented the best of IDPA spirit to come down and lend a hand during the hottest time of the year. We are grateful for that support and are hopeful they will return along with the rest of the people who participated in the match.

We also raised over $3000 for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation which becomes a way for everyone in our sport to express their support for our friends and families who are always serving in the most difficult of places.

And we are going to continue to work to improve the 'system'. Thank you to everyone who came out.
