I also shot the Triple Crown on Saturday. Yes, it was hot: the heat index was around 120 degrees with a high humidity. You had to take care of yourself. There was cold water and a shaded cover at every station, but no cups. If you had an empty water bottle (and most competitiors had several!) refilling was easy.
The stages were among the MOST CHALLENGING I have seen in six years of IDPA (including a few nationals). Some were very accuracy intensive and some were speed, gun handling, and accuracy intensive. It was a GREAT set of stages!

There were some scoring problems, and I'm not sure why. The stage sheet with the appropriate stick on labels was easy to understand. All you had to do was match the sticker to the right stage. It's possible that some competitors were not able to deal with that, and some SOs were not able to double check to make sure things were right.

That may have contributed to the final scores posted problem. My squad ( Team Pro Arms) finished shooting around 3:00 PM. Some had to leave for various reasons. I, and another team member who was handling the raffle tickets, stayed until 5:30 PM. After the raffle tickets were drawn I was told it would be another 45 minutes before final scores were posted (and then the hour dispute time). I was already a victim of the heat and that was enough for me. I left for the motel and cold shower. I checked the website at noon Sunday and still don't know what my score was.

I hope they resolve that scores problem before the October match. The match was great. The score problem was not so great. I still don't know my score.
