I shot the first Triple Crown match in Frostproof, Florida yesterday. Overall the match was a lot of fun. I thought the stages were well designed and run professionally. About the only problem with how the stages were run was that some of the score keepers didn't notice that the bar-coded stickers did not match the actual stage being run. This resulted in extra work in determining and delayed posting the overall scores.

As this was the first match of this type, there were a few issues that came up. (I was told that the range was just providing the range and not running the match).
- Because the shooters briefing was schedule for 7:30 AM, we attempted to sign-in the day before. But the girl in the office was unable to handle anything to do with the match. We were told to come back at 7 AM to sign in.
- Posting the final results were very late. It appeared there were 2 reasons for this:
1 - The mixed up bar-coded score sheets required the incorrect scores be deleted and the score sheets to be manually checked and entered.
2 - One team seemed to have a very difficult time and ran very slow - finishing over 3 hours after the first team finished, and probably 2 hours after the last team. I don't know the reason, but it really became an issue because it held up the scoring. Many people ended up leaving before the final results were posted.

Overall, I was happy with the match and plan to attend the next Triple Crown later this year. The staff really worked hard to make it an enjoyable event. With the exception of the delayed results, they ran a great match. I am sure the staff will correct any issues and the next match will run even better.

Honey Bunny and RickL did a great job. I don't think that I saw Toni stop the entire day. They desire a thanks for the match.
