I vote for electrical ties in the seam of the shirt, or even stitching some bias tape to the back side of the shirt along the hem. The extra weight will help get things out of the way. :lol

I've been shooting with that blue shirt for at least a year now, and haven't done any kind of mod to it. I've also shot with a fleecy cardigan (fleece is bad as it sticks to the gun and everything), a cotton cardigan (much better), and winter coats. One day I forgot a concealment garment so I untucked my shirt and did that Hack-rip Kevin was talking about (Ted uses that method a lot too). One thing - Stainless 1911s are COLD to the waist, much more so than a Glock. ;)

Speaking of proverbial cans of worms... one school of thought in IDPA is to shoot with what you carry/wear daily. Lately I've shot matches wearing my winter coat. Last month we had a gentlemen try shooting with his gloves on too. However, if you're shooting IDPA as a game, and want to win - probably a shirt or vest works better. By shooting a match or two in my winter coat, I know I can get the gun out and working if I need it outside of the match.
