Two different divisions, so don't know how you would address the question of 686 vs. 625.

As to PC vs JM, does the pc come with a clown nose and wig to match the grips? Smile Sorry, I know they are red white and blue, but definitely not my thing. Tongue

I don't go in for high dollar guns, and one of the reasons is that I have seen so many people pay extra for competition, factory tuned guns like these and not be satisfied. They then spend several hundred dollars for extra work from a gunsmith.
Be sure that you will be satisfied with trigger pull and other features. If not, get the base model and have what you want done by a gunsmith. Could cost less in the long run.

One thing to keep in mind with revolvers though are the sights. It might be worth getting a more expensive model if the sights are easily changed, especially front. Shouldn't be an issue with the ones you're looking at though.
