Well, according to the scores, looks like you did comparable to MM and SS in your Division. Not bad at all for your first match. Dropped a lot of points on Stage 5, but you already mentioned that.

What I tell new shooters at our clubs, is don't worry about how your scores actually come out. For the first couple of matches anyway, reflect on how you felt about how you did - did you listen to the Safety Officer during the load and make ready and then the unload/show clear portions of each stage, and while shooting the stages? Did you avoid any safety problems (no FINGER violations, no MUZZLE violations, no stage or match DQ)? Did you do the best you could do? Did you learn more about the IDPA-specific rules? Did you have fun? Will you come back again? For me, those sorts of things are the best indicator of how a new shooter (new to shooting or new to IDPA) does at their first few matches.
