Hi Ken,
Yes, I was out shooting with Bill on his range here in AR, the day he decided to form a new association. I like any type of triggertime I can get, so I joined on the spot. We started practice IDPA as often as we could. Concealment, TAC reloads, tactical priority etc. came to be as we got more and more into it. I had the pleassure of shooting with the founding fathers of IDPA at the time.
Later on I was involved in the now known classifier test. Then we became SO's, and this is long before formal training etc. since I was already trained as a NROI/IROA by Alexakos back in 90. Then in 97, I SO'ed stage 9 &10 at the first nationals in Jefferson City,MO. where Rob Haught won SSP, and I was less than a second behind him.

I'm not going to take any honor away from the original founding fathers, I just helped out as much as I could back then, to keep the wheels turning and contibuting with ideas here and there. If I'm not mistaking, I think the founding fathers membership numbers start with a CL prefix for charter life and then the numbers. I still practice and go out to competitions with member # A00001. Not sure if I can mention his name here without asking first, but I'm pretty sure you already know who that is.

See you at the range Ken. My next match is this saturday at the Backstoppers in St.Louis.

Thanks, Jess Christensen
