Only other things I can add is more along the lines of personal preference and really doesn't add much to the discussion. I frequently carry Browning Hi Powers and also almost always shoot them at Steel Challenge but rarely at IDPA. There's significantly more holstering/un-holstering at a Steel Challenge match as compared to IDPA. My Hi Powers have finishes that are either Cerakote, matte hard chromed or the two HP Practicals which are a combo matte hard chrome and black. The HPs never see Kydex because of my belief (anecdotal though it may be) that the material is hard on the finishes. After several years the finishes are still in great shape. Having said that, there's a possibility that the finishes would be in great shape if the holsters were Kydex. I'll never know. My carry holsters for all my pistols have always been leather. Three + years after my retirement, I accepted an offer to work at a LGS 3 to 4 days a week. I belt carry there at the 3:00 position all day. I tried my Kydex holster one day at the store and that was enough. It was too stiff and simply doesn't conform to my body very well... it was/is the Comp Tac International. Leather, to me, is so much more comfortable over long periods of time. However, since using the Dremel and fixing the issue the Comp Tac was giving my CZs, I actually like the holster for competition, just not for all day, everyday carry.

Sorry about getting slightly off topic, but some important considerations and personal preferences have been brought up in this string about choosing a holster.
