Jay, I brought up cant pretty for much the reason(s) you said. For competition I prefer my pistol straight up and down, no cant. When I draw that way my hand comes straight down on the pistol. The pistol comes out straight and upward which, for me anyway, helps get the pistol to where I "push" it straight out toward the target. If I have a muzzle rear cant, sometimes in my rush to get the gun out of the holster, I end up flinging it out like I was releasing a bowling ball. However for carry, I do prefer a slight muzzle rear as that lines up the grips more with my torso and that way it doesn't "print" as much as it would if the pistol were straight up and down.

Keith, that's why I said there was some debate about Kydex vs. leather and which, if either, causes more wear on the gun. I've read stories from bloggers to articles by the "pros" taking both sides of the debate AND I'm certainly not an expert on that. All I have is anecdotal evidence from working part time in a gun store. Several of the "regulars" that shoot at the indoor range part of the store have gone back to leather because of wear. BUT, like I said, that's only anecdotal. For me it doesn't matter for my CZs because all of them are stainless like the one in my avatar and therefore no finish to wear. So every once in awhile they will see Kydex in competition but never for carry.
