Les brings up cant. That is worth consideration. Cant is basically the orientation of the muzzle. Straight down is "neutral". Some might like a bit of forward cant for appendix carry, but not for IDPA. Neutral or rear only. 

Changing the angle on the muzzle effects the grip. Rear cant lifts the bottom of the grip higher which makes it easier to grasp. However, it means the muzzle has further to travel to get on target and you have to twist your hand forward and down to line up on the grip to perform the draw.  In my opinion, anything beyond a very minimal rear cant may look aggressive and tactical but is not really good for competition.
