I agree, but love leather. 

OWB is the way to go. IWB under a concealment garment is too awkward to get to quickly and smoothly. Also, while you only have 5 or 6 draws on the clock during a match, there are the same number as part of load and make ready and double that number of holstering actions. Lots of opportunities to get a DQ doing something awkward that is not necessary. Remember, this is a game, not training. 

Leather. Looks great, feels great and can be the most comfortable choice going. A good pancake holster from a company like Galco is not that expensive and is so much more classic than black plastic. Plus, if it is a little too tight, or loose, you can wet mold it to your specific gun.
