The irony of "correcting" something in the rulebook, (that isn't really incorrect,) with an incorrect post just couldn't be passed up. Everyone expects perfection from HQ, but not themselves, as you note in your reply. Revolvers haven't been measure that way for over a year.

There are lots of considerations that go into a rulebook. IF HQ took your approach on everything in the rulebook, it would grow to double its size. Does HQ really want every club to have a pair of calipers that has a calibration trail, for something that just isn't a big issue or even a small issue at matches? Engineers and Machinists always get all balled up about unnecessary precision that doesn't actually matter in the real world. I know, I am both.
