With humble apology to JMB I've located a CZ75D Compact upper assembly that I'll attempt to slap onto my CZ75B's frame and shoot CCP division. I would rather have a 1911 in 9mm, but just can't spring the big bucks free for one. I was able to buy the CZ Compact upper at a very reasonable price and I'm already geared up with holster (although it'll be a tad long for the Compact) , mags, and pouches. From what I read interchangeability between uppers and receivers is very good and it's not uncommon to build such a semi-compact CZ. Has anyone done that here? Now to just be able to get it set up good enough to beat my friend with his 4 inch Kimber .45 in the CCP classifier.

Scott was that the upper I mentioned to you from the CZ forum?  Sweet.  The upper will fit.  If you ever tire of it keep me in mind.  My guess is you are going to have fun doing rapid doubles at 25 yards and get tired of hitting the down zero.  I have $5.00 you nip your friend on the Classifier.   My upper goes on all my FS frames so you won;t have any problems. I am sure.  Use your regular sized mags as well as the gun will fit in the box with them as well.  Makes for easier reloads

Jay the upper he has is made by CZ as is the frame.  Both frames are the same dimensions (rails and internals) so the upper will just slide on the 75B lower.
