Instead of saying "same capacity magazines" use "magazines loaded to the same capacity"

This resides solely on Robert Ray's hands to write the rules. Maybe this is one of his job discriptions that he write the rules for the new rule book. I have no idea what it should be, but should be open to LESS or NO interpetation. Does he take recomendations?? - Sure. But in the end it's up to him to come up w/ the wording. The above seems a lot more clear cut than what's in the book now. Why don't you open up the discussion and tell us what it should say?? You do seem to have all the answers here. I suck at trying to explain things and would never want to try and write the rules, but I would try to put everything in very lamen terms that wouldn't not be open for interpetation.

I don't see how people can get so wrapped around the azle over such a simple concept that's crystal clear as written in the rule book.

Craig,
I don't have all the answers, or any of the answers, depending on who you talk to. G. Be loaded to the division capacity of ten (10) rounds in the magazine plus one (1) round in the chamber. Should division capacity not be achievable because of lower magazine capacity, load to maximum mechanical capacity of magazine plus one (1) round in the chamber. Competitors must use the same capacity magazines through out the competition (Example: if you start with a 9 round magazine, you must use that capacity magazine throughout the match). This took about 3 minutes.... now hack it up..... G. Be loaded to the division capacity of ten (10) rounds in the magazine plus one (1) round in the chamber. Should division capacity not be achievable because of lower magazine capacity in one or more magazines, then load all magazines to the maximum of the lowest capacity magazine. All magazines must be loaded to the same capacity throughout the entire competition. Ken Reed edited for a bit of wordsmithing

That makes more sense to me than how it's written now. +1
Straight forward, simple to understand. +1 Like I said, I suck and trying to explain things, and don't have a creative bone in my body. Heck, someday's I have a hard time writing my own name, let alone the dissertation I got to write coming up here in 6 months.

The rule book has been lacking in clarity, in my experience, since the LGB. Prior confusion is beyond my experience. There are aspects of the current book that are better than the LGB. The LGB needed some clarification. The current book, much like the tax code, keeps lawyers in business. Bob |

Did this happen in Texas? If so, as AC I would be glad to reeducate the S.O. if I were provided the info.

As the OP thanks. I got the answer . It seems most folks would agree okay to mix and match mags as long as it is always the same number in the magazine (and
it fits the box).
The SO was nice about it, I hoped I was, I meant to be, I just never heard the rule interperted that way. Pete |
