Any ideas? I have seen the Tagua leather stuff, and I like the quick draw and the open top holsters they have (they're reasonably priced too).. Oh, btw, I'm looking for my Springfield XD-40 4" service...

It is comfortable and it sits a little high for good cc. I've used it for idpa as well. Hope you find the one that fits your needs. Prefer leather by far particularly for classic or traditional handguns. Recently ordered one of Comp-Tacs Hybrid Minotaur's Back side and belt loops are leather while the outside holster shell is Kydex. It's a slide version, using it for my M&P 9 Compact but will carry the M&P L 5 inch too. Comp-Tac delivered in just over a week. I like it for carry and may start using it in IDPA matches instead of the full Kydex holster. Can't see any competition negative It's a good solution for a plastic pistol. Boats
