Good Afternoon,

Take it easy! I just finished the last few awards that slipped through the cracks last month!

I certainly hope that we will have another postal match this year. Walt, Jane and Cindy have developed certain schemes to streamline the process, and it would be a shame to drop everything at this point.

I have to talk to Lenny, but I am sure that we will make the stages simpler this year. The easier it is to set up, the more consistent the results....

The concept has merit.... just needs to be fleshed out and firmed up. Should make things a lot smoother.

Actually, I meant Division Champion and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each classification as long as you beat someone, but that's not a problem in the postal match. To just award the top 3 in each division would not be in the spirit of IDPA.

There's a good thought from Steve J! Division Champion so noted on a gold colored certificate, followed by a 2nd place sliver and a 3rd place bronze... along with speciality awards (High Senior, etc). Should lighten the load considerably, and is in keeping with International competition standards.

Bless you, and the shooters at Flagler thank you for all your hard work. I would hope that next year you could fiure out a way to not have so much hard work. You guys got overwhelmed with participation and I expect next year it will just get bigger. Maybe just do awards for the top ten in each division, along with DCs and specialty awards (High Senior, etc.?) It's not a sanctioned match, so you don't really have to follow all the rules. Just a thought, but thanks from Flagler IDPA....

I think that it is finally done! Last night, I sent out awards to the Flagler club in Florida, and to a club in South Africa. I received replies from both match directors that the awards were received.

OK, now that the '08 postal match is done, it is almost time to start thinking about the '09 match. Yikes!

Thanks guys, Several shooters at Flager should be due certificates and we appreciate it. Have fun at the Frozen Penguin. Wish I could be there but I have to bite the bullet and SO in the miserable 75 degree weather at Flagler.

I do not want to pass the buck, or throw Lenny under the bus, but when you first posted that you had not received awards, I checked my list and your club was not on it. Lenny has posted that your club was not on his list either, but I know that it is on the main list. (I split the main list in two, and Lenny and I each took one half)

I will send your awards out from the main list. We are shooting and SOing the Frozen Penguin this weekend, so you may have to...

Florida is the state. Flagleridpa.com. I realize that the awards folks were overwhelmed with the participation in this year's Postal Match, and am certainly not complaining. I appreciate the effort you guys & gals put into it. Just wonder if there was anything we at Flagler needed to do to smooth the process.

Hello Chris, the frist round of certifs has gone out, all that was left were to tie up some that were missing and I had a couple of e-mail adds that came up bad, there was no Flagler on my list but I only have half, Ken has the other half. What state?

I spoke with the Match Director at Flagler IDPA today and he has not received the awards certificates for his people. Is there something he needs to do?

2008 Postal Match

The 2008 IDPA Postal Match is in the works! The COF is set (hermetically sealed for your protection) and the scoring issues are being worked out in a super secret west coast location (no not the west coast of NJ, THE west coast). HQ should have some info in the TJ. Stay tuned.
