I have a noob question (at least it feels like one); I plan on using a Blackhawk Serpa holster to draw

a .40 24/7 Pro.
Here's my question finally: after I load and make ready... am I required by the rules to use the safety?

Is disabling a safety on drawing a requirement?

What if the gun is DA/SA? Does that make a difference? (I bet I'm sounding so green!)...

October is our annual night match month, and I was just preparing our group by sending out bassic reference material on flashlight techniques. Here is a good
basic starting point for using a typical flashlight with a handgun. http://www.surefire.com/articles-handheld_techniques It does not cover some of the newer flashlight
configurations like the one used at the Nats however.
